About Drummondville

Drummondville is a dynamic city located on the south shore of the Fleuve Saint-Laurent (St. Lawrence River) between Ville de Québec (Quebec City) and Montréal. The city is part of the Centre-du-Québec region.

Drummondville's population is 74 067 people and the MRC Drummond with its 18 municipalities has 101 826 people.

Drummondville was founded in 1815 and it was its 200th anniversary in 2015. Long regarded as a textile city, Drummondville is now a city whose manufacturing sector is in constant evolution. There are more than 500 manufacturing companies. Over time, Drummondville has moved from a mono-industrial city to a dynamic and diversified city.

In terms of tourism and culture, Drummondville can count on activities with  the Village Québécois d'Antan, D'Arbre en Arbre and other. Note that several other shows have also made the reputation of the city on this plan. The outdoor sector is also changing with the development of several activities related to the seasons.

Due to its geographical position, Drummondville has long been a city of very important gathering. Numerous conferences, seminars and business meetings are held every day. We are also recognized as the ideal location for provincial meetings, because of our geographical proximity.
